Blended Scotch whisky brand, Monkey Shoulder has launched Monkey Bars, a new competition giving bartenders the opportunity to create their own cocktail delivery brand.

Teams of two or three, headed up by bartenders, submit a delivery cocktail concept online. Three finalist teams will then present to a panel of experts in a Dragons Den-style pitch.

The winning team's idea will be brought to life for distribution to consumers this autumn with the team keeping the profits.

“We hope that this is a chance to change someone’s life, with the concept being progressed and continued following the three months of funding and support from Monkey Shoulder,” said Joe Petch, Monkey Shoulder’s global ambassador.

“After a hard time for bartenders, we’re hoping that this opportunity will invigorate their creativity and love for cocktails.”
