Mast-Jaegermeister UK has today announced its annual Meister Hunter cocktail competition returns to a physical format after running in digital form in 2020.
With the aim to celebrate the opening of the trade sector and put the spotlight on some of the most talented bartenders in the UK, the competition offers a winning prize of £3,000.
Florian Beuren, Mast-Jaegermeister UK Brand Ambassador, said: “After a difficult year, we are very excited to be able to run Meister Hunter at physical venues around the country. This year more than ever we want to take this opportunity to celebrate the amazing talent of the UK bartenders, a collective who has certainly felt the impact of the pandemic. With the competition we hope to inspire and give participants a platform for self-expression while providing financial support.”
To enter, bartenders should film themselves while they create their serve and take a photo of the finished result. The content should be uploaded to Instagram tagging @meisterhunter and @jagermeisteruk and using the hashtag #meisterhunter. Alternatively participants can email their content to meisterhunter@jaegermeister.co.uk.
The cocktail rules: The cocktail must have 25ml of Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee and up to five other ingredients. In addition, bonus points will be awarded for incorporating themes as 'Ice Cold', 'A Social Ritual', 'Celebrating The Moment' and 'Bringing People Together'.
Entrants will need to agree to having their video uploaded to the @meisterhunter Instagram feed. Instant cash prizes will be available for the best photos and videos.
Entries for Meister Hunter will be accepted from today, 21 June, until 23 July. Six finalists will be announced on the Meister Hunter Instagram page and regional pre-final competitions will be run in London, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh.
The final, planned to be in London in September, will see first place taking home £3,000, second place £1,000 and third place £500.
