Gleneagles has collaborated with the neighbouring The Glenturret Distillery to produce an 11-year-old single malt.

It is the renowned Perthshire hotel and country estate’s first single malt of an ongoing commitment to producing further batches from both The Glenturret and Gleneagles over the next five years.

“We have always been committed to working with the finest Scottish food and drink producers, but when the opportunity arose to work with our close neighbours at The Glenturret to create our own limited-edition product, we jumped at the chance,” said Daniel Baernreuther, hotel manager at Gleneagles.

“There have been so many changes over the last few years at Gleneagles. As a natural progression and evolution of our beverage and whisky program, creating our own whisky was the next logical step and because of our shared location.”

The single malt is said to have tasting notes of toffee, cinnamon, and vanilla alongside dark spice, rich fruit cake and warm ginger.

The whisky will have a limited release of 750 hand-numbered bottles available to purchase at Gleneagles’ dedicated whisky boutique, The Still Room, for £79. Guests who purchase a bottle will also be offered a complimentary tour of The Glenturret Distillery.
