Agave bar Hacha Brixton is to close, three and a half years after opening.
The community-focused Brixton Market bar was the sequel venue from Deano Moncreiffe and Emma Murphy – who also own Hacha Dalston - and a second home to the pair’s hit drink the Mirror Margarita, a former CBAs Cocktail of the Year.
The couple said: “We are sad to announce that we will be serving our last margaritas on February 15th.
“We have wholeheartedly enjoyed being part of the Brixton community and welcoming the thousands of agave lovers that have joined us over the years, but circumstances beyond our control have led us to this decision.”
“Our last service there will be Saturday 15th Feb, so there’s still two more weeks to come and see us before we close our shutters for the last time.”
News of the launch of Hacha Brixton and the story of its community-led approach adorned the cover of CLASS Summer 2021 edition, ahead of the bar’s opening.
Murphy and Moncreiffe confirmed that Hacha Dalston will remain open and that there are “many exciting things in the pipeline so watch this space".
