Horse with no name

Pernod Ricard UK has launched Horse with No Name, a bourbon and habanero chili distillate, created by Monkey 47 founder Alexander Stein.

Horse's Spirit Company partnered with the Firestone & Robertson Distillery in Texas to create a proprietary mash bill.

The whiskey is aged for four years in toasted American oak barrels then blended with habanero distillate (2% of the liquid) produced from Red Savina habanero chilis grown in the Black Forest in Germany.

Horse with No Name, which comes with an ABV of 45% and is priced at RRP £47.89 for 50cl, is available from Master of Malt and Amazon. On-Trade stockists include Venus, Amathus, Enotria and DMD.

It is designed to be drunk neat, as twist on classic bourbon cocktails such as the Mint Julep and Old Fashioned, or mixed with cola and a squeeze of fresh lemon and lime for a ‘Cowboy Spritz’.
