Katie Rouse of Birmingham’s Couch has launched a collaboration series that will see her partnering with like-minded, community-forward bars from around the world.

Couch Surf will go beyond fly-by-night guest shifts to be more of an immersive experience, connecting bars and communities.

Rouse plans to build content around the events, with behind-the-scenes footage and a series of interviews to share insight from forward-thinking bars and bartenders around the world.

The world tour kicks off soon, with the first high-profile bar partner to be announced in the coming days.

She said: “At Couch, we believe that to truly serve our neighbourhood, we must also learn from the world. This series is about building bridges - not just bars.

“Each collaboration will go beyond the surface, celebrating local regulars, exchanging knowledge, and fostering relationships that last long after the event itself.

“This isn’t about volume or ticking boxes. It’s about creating meaningful, intentional experiences with partners who value connection as much as we do - laying the foundations for a supportive global network of hospitality communities.”
