Rachel Orange, who led Schofield’s Bar in Manchester alongside Joe and Daniel Schofield, is to leave the bar later this month.
Orange joined the brothers in launching their family business in 2021, handling operations for five years and helping to cement its reputation as the Best Bar in the North, an award it has won at the Class Bar Awards in each of the last three years.
Under her leadership the bar gained a national reputation, named Best Bar in the UK in 2022 and 2023 at the Awards.
Joe and Daniel Schofield said: “Rachel has been undeniably instrumental in the success of Schofield’s Bar, and it’s hard to imagine what the bar would be now without her dedication and creativity.
“If you’ve ever been to visit us, you’ll have likely met Rachel and been met by her warm, natural, Northern charm and hospitality. A beacon of warmth, and a mother-figure to many inside the team (past and present), it’s with sadness that we will be saying farewell after nearly 5 years.”
Orange, who has yet to announce future plans, will work her las shift on January 14.
