Aaron Wall and Will Hawes have opened The Prince, reviving the former site of Marian Beke’s The Gibson on Old Street.
Focused on “strong drinks” such as Martinis, Black Velvets and Punches, The Prince combines cocktails with local pub vibes and a soundtrack of Ska, Northern Soul and 60s-70s RnB.
The owners perviously combined at Callooh Callay and more recently at Wall’s Homeboy.
The Prince is named after Prince Buster, an influential Ska music figure.

Wall told CLASS: “We want to deliver the style of service London’s bar scene is famous for, serve the best possible cocktails and offer warm and gracious service.
“All of our drinks are made to measure with fresh juices, squeezed a la minute, alongside small plates and sharing boards. It's a place where world class cocktails meet warm service and unpretentious charm.”
The Prince - 44 Old St, London EC1V 9AQ - opens from 12pm-11pm Sunday-Thursday, closing an hour later on Friday and Saturday.
