CLASS has become the official UK media partner to Celebrate Her, the new non-profit organisation aiming to support women in hospitality.
The partnership, official as of today - International Women’s Day – will see Class magazine and Classbarmag.com offer editorial support to the organisation with the shared aim of promoting female talent in the bar industry.
Celebrate Her, founded by Anna Sebastian, aims to raise funds to offer grants to women looking to develop their careers in hospitality.
Anna Sebastian, founder of Celebrate Her, said: “It is an honour to be able to partner with CLASS magazine, which has been a pillar of our industry for twenty years and is an institution in itself. Class have always showed support to causes, especially when it comes to striving for gender equality.”
Hamish Smith, editor of CLASS said: “It cannot be that in 2021 women are so scantly represented in leadership positions in the UK bar industry – this has to change. Through raising funds for grants, Celebrate Her moves beyond words to spearhead the development of female talent in the industry. When Anna contacted us about the launch of her platform, we jumped at the chance to support it in every way we can.”
