Tropical bar Kiki Lounge on the Isle of Man has unveiled its latest cocktail list, Menu Zine Issue 3.

Billed as their most ambitious menu to date, the collection of cocktails is predicated on twists on tropical classics, “technique-driven” creations and local favourites.

Kiki Lounge – a finalist in the CLASS Bar Awards 2024 – is a modern take on the pioneering American tiki icons Trader Vic’s and Don the Beachcomber.

Divided into three sections - Tropical Drinks, Not-So-Tropical Drinks and Greatest Hits – the new menu includes drinks such as the Chi-Chi (pictured left), which twists the Pina Colada with Boatyard vodka, Lillet Blanc, lacto-fermented pineapple, Bristol Syrup Co. Pineapple and Coconut Syrup, lime and coconut milk in a contemporary milk punch served on the rocks.

Ernest + Rita 2.0 (centre) is a riff on co-founder Jamie’s decade-old aperitivo-style margarita recipe, updated with Maguey Puebla Mezcal & Olmeca Altos, accented with Campari, elderflowerliqueur and acid-adjusted grapefruit.

Treacle (right), from the Not-So-Tropical section, blends Outlier Distillery’s Twisted Arm Manx Spiced Rum with Foraging Vintners Manx Apple 'Port', golden syrup & sour apples in a Manx twist on the classic.

The menu concludes with Kiki Lounge’s Greatest Hits, featuring the drinks to have stood the test of time throughout the bar’s four years in Douglas. One such drink is Cos Tonight BBY I Wanna get Kiki Wit U, made with Beefeater gin, pineapple, cucumber, lime & tonic.

The cover of the bar's latest magazine-styled menu features the work of Manx comic book artist Samuel Cox who has reimagined Team Kiki as superheroes, while inside the menu is also a collection of articles that celebrate the team’s passion for bartending and spirits.

Jamie Lewis & Drew Fleming, co-owners of Kiki Lounge, said: “After months of work, we’re so excited to finally unleash Menu Zine 3 on the world. Four years since Kiki Lounge was first imagined, in the depths of the pandemic, we wanted to take a step back and consolidate everything we’ve learnt into a menu that truly showcases the very best that the Isle of Man has to offer.

“We can’t wait to welcome locals and visitors alike to try our little taste of the tropics on our not-so-tropical island!"
