The Busker Irish Whiskey has launched its first small batch expression, The Busker Small Batch Single Pot Still.

The edition is priced at £45 for a 70cl bottle and joins a stable that includes The Busker Single Pot Still, Single Malt, Single Grain and Triple Cask Triple Smooth.

Master blender at The Busker, Caroline Martin, who worked on this release, said: "The batch is an exquisite example of single-pot whiskey perfection, showcasing The Busker’s opulent flavours that are full-bodied, bold, powerful, and well-rounded. Selected at my discretion, the small batch has been matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then expertly finished in Oloroso sherry European oak butts.

“This careful process has produced a whiskey that is richly aromatic and has tasting notes of leathery tobacco, soft lingering spice, and sumptuous autumnal fruits – figs, sultanas, prunes, and damsons, bound together with exquisite caramelized balsamic tones. Resinous notes of distinguished oak and fragrant sandalwood create an elegant, smooth finish."
