A joint venture by GSG Hospitality and chef Daniel Heffy, Liverpool’s newest bar and dining combo Nord aims to celebrate northern hospitality and heritage within The Plaza of the city’s commercial district.
With pale pastel colours providing the palette of this large open space that surrounds a central bar setup, Nord feels like an airy, comfortable place for a drink.
Offering a simple yet effective menu, headed up by classics such as the Corpse Reviver, Clover Club and Old Fashioned (with a neat tequila twist option available), the clean, attentive service goes together with the presentation of the cocktails.
Add in a cracking wine menu and there’s enough here to make you want to come back and experience more – even if Nord is a little off the bar scene’s beaten track.
