Following six regional heats held throughout September, the 2022 Meister Hunter finalists have been selected.

Heats took place in Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Brighton, Ireland, and Toronto, Canada, where selected bartenders created their cocktail entry to a panel of judges that included Florian Beuren, Jägermeister UK Brand Ambassador, and Simon Webster from Bar Life UK.

The criteria for entry were for each cocktail to include a minimum of 25ml of Jägermeister and a maximum of five other ingredients. The semi-finalists had five minutes to create two servings of their unique cocktail, as well as pour a 25ml shot of Jägermeister, whilst entertaining the crowd.

The finalists selected from each heat and their winning cocktail are:

Dublin – Helio Oliveira – ‘Buck Moon’

Liverpool – Erin Davies – ‘Liquid VICE’

London – Tristan Carvalho – ‘Hae He Tonic’ (translation: nice tasting tonic)

Brighton – Sam Moseley – ‘South of Heaven’

Glasgow – Carrie Smith – ‘Bonnie Blaze’

Canada – Pierre-Olivier Trempe - ‘Made with Love’

Mast-Jägermeister UK Brand Ambassador Florian Beuren says: “It’s been brilliant to host the Meister Hunter semi-finals in person again. The standards have been exceptionally high this year, and we have tasted a fantastic range of innovative cocktails across every city.

“Plans for the two-day final are underway, which will culminate in a final competition at Oriole Bar on the evening of Wednesday 16th November.  Each bartender competing will take part in a series of activities over the two days, before one is crowned the Meister Hunter champion of 2022.”.
