Mast-Jägermeister UK has now opened entries for this year’s Meister Hunter competition.
Running for its fifth year, the competition is growing in popularity due to its unique challenges and ultimate Jägermeister brand experience. As a result, Meister Hunter is expanding with the addition of two new countries competing, Canada and Ireland.
This year, Meister Hunter finalists will have the opportunity to win a share of the £4,500 prize money with first place wining £3,000, second place taking home £1,000 and £500 for third place. All bartenders entering the competition will also have the opportunity to win a monetary spot prize or Jägermeister merchandise including the brand’s line of street wear or coffee table book, The Best Nights of Your Life: The Original Jägermeister Book.
Last year’s winner, Adam Keeligan of Clubhouse in Manchester, says: "Being part of Meister Hunter really helped me realise how versatile Jägermeister is. It can be incorporated into so many cocktails. Meister Hunter also allowed me the freedom to express my creativity to a great panel of experts, which was thrilling! Winning the competition has led to a huge amount of exposure for my new bar, Clubhouse in Manchester. The promotion through social media and the support from Jägermeister has been incredible for boosting the bar’s profile within the industry. I can’t thank the team enough for the memorable experience and the best night!"
To enter, bartenders are being asked to create a Jägermeister cocktail using a minimum of 25ml and a maximum of five ingredients.
Entries must be made via Instagram and include a video or image of the cocktail, plus its name and specs. Posts must tag the Meister Hunter Instagram page @meisterhunter and use the hashtag #meisterhunter22. Entrants also need to follow @meisterhunter and Jägermeister UK @jagermeisteruk. Some entries will be shared to the @meisterhunter Instagram feed.
Throughout the entry period, Jägermeister’s UK Brand Ambassador, Florian Beuren, will embark on a Masterclass Roadshow across the country offering bartenders an opportunity to learn more about Jägermeister, Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee and Jägermeister Manifest. Bartenders will also gain insight into the Meister Hunter competition in preparation for their entry.
The Meister Hunter entry period will close on 8th July with heats then taking place in London, Brighton, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin and Canada. Finalists will embark on an unforgettable experience across a two-day final held in London in October.
Throughout the competition, bartenders will be using the full Jägermeister portfolio, including Jägermeister, Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee and Jägermeister Manifest.
Mast-Jägermeister UK Brand Ambassador, Florian Beuren, says: “To mark the five-year anniversary of Meister Hunter we are very excited to welcome finalists from Ireland and Canada for the first time. Over the years, Meister Hunter has grown in popularity and we hope to invite other countries to join in the future.
“Each year, we aim to make Meister Hunter more than just a bartender competition, but a brand immersion and bonding experience leaving finalists with ‘best nights’ memories, in-line with our brand ethos. This year we have an exciting programme planned that will take bartenders out of their comfort zone, but also provide education outside of the Jägermeister brand.”
