St Lucian rum brand, Chairman’s Reserve, has announced that its Mai Tai Challenge will be returning for 2022 for the first time since 2019.

Between 1 June and 31 July, bars across the UK are asked to create their own version of the tiki classic using Chairman’s Reserve, four UK winners will then go head-to-head in the final on National Mai Tai Day on 30 August.

The bar with the most votes after the final will win a trip to St. Lucia in 2023.

“We had the idea to encourage bartenders to play with Chairman’s Reserve in the Mai Tai because of how we believed our rums fit the profile of this traditional tiki cocktail,” said Sergin John Baptiste, marketing director of St. Lucia Distillers.
