KOL Mezcaleria has announced a series of six events, inviting some of the world’s leading agave-focussed bars to takeover the London bar with a limited-edition menu.
The Explorer Series, created in collaboration with The Lost Explorer Mezcal, will kick off on Sunday 26 February with Athens’ Barro Negro with future events held every other month until October.
Barro Negro is Athens’ first tequila and mezcal bar launched in 2019 by George Kavaklis and Stelios Papadopoulos, and in 2022, the bar was ranked number 52 in the World’s 50 Best Bars.
At present two more bars have been confirmed, Rome’s La Punta and Amsterdam’s Salmuera.
Each event will see a limited-edition menu of six cocktails utilising three different expressions of agave available from The Lost Explorer Mezcal, espadín, tobalá, salmiana with a cocktail made using each by both the guest bar and the KOL Mezcaleria team, led by Bar Manager Matthias Inglemann.
Santiago Lastra’s antojitos street food-inspired menu will be available to order through the series.
The Explorer Series kicks off on Sunday 26 February, tickets for each event are £15 and include a welcome drink and are available via the KOL website.
