What is success to you?
Most people have sight, not everyone has vision. Without a vision, you don’t know what you’re working towards. It’s essential you create a compelling future for yourself and know your desired outcome. Notice how it’s a desired outcome. It doesn’t always mean you’re going to achieve it but by being intentional with your actions you’re a lot more likely to get closer to it. Know the desired outcome, attach some goals to it, get a plan and then get to work.
If your why doesn’t make you cry, it’s simply not big enough. Your why for success is crucial if you’re looking to bring about lasting change. Your why is the driving force behind everything you do and it kicks in especially when you’re not feeling at your best. It is the thing that keeps you going when your entire body is telling you to stop.
Your surroundings will determine a large part of your success. We all adapt to our surroundings whether that’s positive or negative. Choose wisely with the company you keep as you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with. If your goal is to lose weight, you wouldn’t be in McDonalds. If your goal is to improve your finances you wouldn’t want to be in expensive bars. You get the point so start asking yourself if your current inner circle/environment is serving you or stopping you from becoming successful.
How to win
What resources are you using? What information do you need in order to make you successful? Strategy is such a crucial part of achieving anything in life. Most people say practice makes perfect and be patient. What if you’re doing it wrong the whole time? You just become really good at doing something to a poor standard.
Standards and behaviour
If you have beer standards and champagne vision you will be frustrated, entitled, confused, angry and depressed. You will always be looking for more and expecting things to happen for you just because you want it. If you have champagne standards but beer vision you will also never be fulfilled - you will have limiting beliefs, unfulfilled potential, waste a lot of time and never understand why you don’t have the success you crave.
We believe success is a feeling, a feeling of progress and great standards built on solid foundations. Always remember that success without fulfilment is the ultimate failure.
