Cocktails in the City will return to London this summer, with a series of three weekend events across June, July and August.

The festival, now in its eight year in London, will host over 50 of the capital's cocktail bars in pop-up form in Bedford Square Gardens in Bloomsbury, billed as a “chance to discover new openings, trend-setting venues and established institutions".

For the opening weekend in June (17-19), Cocktails in the City will celebrate the reopening of the capital’s bar scene. The Bars Are Back In Town event will feature the likes of Coupette, Nightjar, Heads + Tails, Cocktail Trading Company and Bourne & Hollingsworth, who will serve their signature cocktails.

In July (23-24), the festival shifts to an international focus, with A World of Cocktails. Drawing on the diversity of London’s bar scene, the weekend event will showcase “London’s global outlook and most exciting cocktail talent” and feature the likes of Laki Kane, Kosmopol, TT Liquor and Café Pacifico.

For the final summer instalment (August 20-21), Cocktails in the City will bring Festival of Drinks - The Ultimate Cocktail Festival to the gardens. With live music from The Piano Works, street food vendors including Club Mexicana and games, the festival will feature bars including London Cocktail Club, Barrio Bars and Callooh Callay.

Cocktails in the City will be working in support of the hospitality industry, with 10% of each ticket going to The Drinks Trust.

Trade tickets, which are donation-based, are available for all Friday afternoon sessions with all funds being donated to The Drinks Trust.

Cocktails in the City organiser, Andrew Scutts, said: “The gardens provide a perfect setting for our colleagues in the industry to reconnect and hope people can join us this summer. If bars and brands are keen to be involved we would love to hear from them and look forward to the return of live events and the resumption of regular service in the bars.”
