Dan Berger, owner of Blinker, is set to open his second site after securing the venue formerly occupied by Fierce Beer in the heart of Manchester’s Norther Quarter.
The Morris, which will launch this spring on 57 Thomas St, Manchester M4 1NA, is billed as a multi-concept venue, boasting a pub on the ground floor, a cocktail bar on the first floor, above which will be an events space.
The pub will focus on local breweries and promote Manchester’s craft beer scene, also serving spritzes and showcasing local musicians.
While the cocktail bar at The Morris will have a “retro and funky feel” aiming to “reflect the creative boom and quirky nature of the Northern Quarter back in the 80s”.
Cocktails will be “creative yet nostalgic, served in a crisp and precise manner” with “big flavour and balance” the guiding principles.
The second floor events space will host anything from daytime meetings to corporate parties, cocktail masterclasses and birthdays with a dedicated DJ space and its own service bar.
The Morris follows Berger’s 2022 opening, Blinker, which quickly garnered critical acclaim, earning multiple Class Bar Awards nominations.
