9. Prize There are three spaces available in total on the 1887 Collective via this promotion available to be won.
The 1887 Collective is the promoter’s portfolio programme supporting up-and-coming bartenders in the on-trade industry. It is a year-long programme involving a blend of immersive brand experiences, distillery trip(s), talks, seminars and mentorship from our industry and beyond, to elevate our collective talents further. This year’s programme would start in November, and 1887 Collective events/meetings take place approximately every other month. Depending on where each relevant takes place and whether this is necessary, travel and accommodation would be provided.
10. General rules on prizes Those selected must confirm they would like to accept their place on the 1887 Collective within 14 working days of winner notification. If they do not confirm by this date, the winner will have no entitlement to the prize.
The Promoter may substitute the prize (or an individual aspect of the prize) for an alternative of equal or greater value where it deems it strictly necessary due to events outside its reasonable control.
Winners may not transfer the right to accept their prize to another person without the Promoter’s consent.
The Promoter will not offer cash alternatives to any prizes. Prizes are not negotiable.
No guests are permitted for any aspect of the 1887 Collective.
11. Winner selection The Promoter’s selection of the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All eligible nominations will be counted and the three most nominated bartenders will be the winners and will each be awarded a space on the 1887 Collective. In the event of a tie, nominees will be judged on the criteria set out in clause 7 within 2 working days of the end of the promotion period, by a panel including at least one judge who is independent from the Promoter.
12. Winner notification Winners will be contacted by direct message on Instagram on 29 October 2024.
Winners have 14 days to verify their details (name and age) in order to claim their place. Age must be verified using a valid ID document (passport, driving licence or equivalent form of identification clearly stating a winner’s date of birth). County of residence will be requested for the purpose of the winners list if no objection is received. If they do not respond after 7 days, a reminder message will be send. If they still have not responded within the 14-day limited, another winner will be selected using the same methodology as above. The Promoter may repeat this process as often as is necessary until three bartenders are awarded a space on the 1887 Collective.
Nominees are encouraged to monitor their connections during this time in case they are contacted.
The 1887 programme would start in November, and the first event is likely to take place in January.
13. Publicity/name release The winners may be requested to take part in publicity in connection with this promotion.
The winners’ full names and counties of residence are available by sending an email to Nicole.Sykes@wgrant.com within 3 months of the closing date. Please mark the request “FAO: Senior Advocacy Manager – 1887 Collective”.
Nominees and winners may be requested to participate in photo, recordings, video and/or filming sessions and to all allow the Promoter, without charge, to use these photos, recordings, videos and/or films in any media and in any manner it sees fit.
14. Verification The Promoter reserves the right to verify all nominations including, but not limited to, asking for identity details including age (passport, driving licence or equivalent form of identification that clearly states the winner’s date of birth) which they must provide within 14 days.
The Promoter may:
• refuse to award a prize;
• withdraw prize entitlement;
• refuse further participation in the promotion; and/or
• disqualify the participant,
where there are reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has contravened these terms and conditions, the spirit of the promotion, won using fraudulent means or otherwise gained an unfair advantage.
