Former London bartender and brand ambassador Bex Almqvist has launched an aquavit and gin in the UK through distributor Speciality Drinks.
The arrival of Rejmyre Aquavit and Nordic Dry Gin marks the first market expansion from Almqvist Destilleri which was founded in 2022.
The Swedish distillery, which is located in the rural village of Rejmyre within an historic glassworks building, aims to showcase traditional Nordic flavours and bring attention to the aquavit category.
Almqvist began her bartending career in London, becoming a key figure in the early-to-mid-2000s, before joining Absolut Vodka in 2009 and moving to its head office in Stockholm, Sweden in 2013.
