Matt Arnold, co-owner of Passing Fancies in Birmingham, was named the World Class Great Britain champion yesterday.
The final, which took place at Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh, is the culmination of a competition that has taken in hundreds of bartenders from around the country.
Having progressed from the Top 100 and Top 50 phases of the competition, the final field saw the following bartenders compete: Josh Linfitt, Ugly Butterfly by Adam Handling; Alex Taylor, Pennyroyal; Emanuele Mensah, Lyaness; Danilo Frigulti, Nomad Hotel; Jacob Clarke, Couch; Katie Rouse, Couch; Holly Bennetts, The Greenbank Hotel; Tom Fastiggi, Schofield's; Ryan Way, Orchid; Matt Arnold, Passing Fancies.
Arnold now goes on to compete in the global final of World Class in São Paulo Brazil.
