The Roma Bar Show returns on the 29th and 30th of May, at the historic Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome and will host hundreds of brands and operators from the international spirits industry. 


This year's edition promises plentiful exciting new features and initiatives, including The Piazza Italia which will showcase the best of made in Italy excellences, celebrating modern and heritage brands of Vermouth, Amaro’s, Grappa’s and Aperitivos.

In addition, is The Mexican Village stage, set on a splendid terrace overlooking the city of Rome, celebrating agave spirits alongside music, cocktails, food and distiller talks.

The RBS2023 Educational Program will see international guests, from five continents of the bar industry, speak about inclusiveness, diversity, sustainability, and the evolution of the bar industry

The following experts will speak on the Auditorium Main Stage:  

  • Julie Reiner, NY Bar owner and mixologist 

  • For the first time in Italy Shingo Gokan, the ultimate Japanese bar expert. 

  • Sydney's award-winning Maybe Sammy team 

  • The innovative Giacomo Giannotti from Paradiso Barcelona “Best Bar in the World 2022" 

  • Monica Berg from award-wining bar Tayer & Elementary. 

The RBS Academy will be entirely dedicated to the techniques and innovation of the bar industry, with a long list of globally acclaimed bars. Marc Alvarez will present his new concept Essentia by SIPS from Barcelona, Line from Athens, Gibson from Berlin, Licorería Limantour from Mexico City, Stefano Catino and Martin Hudak from Maybe Sammy, and Tokyo's SG Club.  

Brand new this year is the Roma Bar Show Awards, which aim to celebrate Italian excellence in the bar industry and offer an important opportunity for visibility for bars and the most talented bartenders in Italy (to apply: registrations open until 19th May)

There will be six categories covered by the Awards : 

  1. Best Cocktail Bar

  1. Best Bartender

  1. Best New Cocktail Bar

  1. Best Hotel Bar

  1. Best Food Program

  1. Best Social Media Presence 

 

A qualified panel of experts in the Italian hospitality sector with international experience will judge the applications and select the profiles through rigorous criteria.

In addition, the city will join in on the Bar Show celebrations of the bar industry with off-show events, guest experiences and brand parties over the three nights, from Sunday to Tuesday.
