The Beaufort Bar – a former member of The World’s 50 Best Bars - is to transition to the Beaufort Wine Bar this October.

The new destination will bring together an “exceptional” wine collection, tableside service and live music in one of London’s best-known hotels.

In its former guise, the venue has been home to some of the bar industry’s foremost talents, including Chris Moore, Anna Sebastian and Lorenzo Antinori.

The new offering will include 250 wines from 18 countries across six continents, with one of the UK’s largest wine-by-the-glass programmes.

Half of the cellar will be available by the glass using Coravin technology, giving guests the opportunity to discover rare, vintage and contemporary wines without committing to a full bottle.

The collection includes vintages from 1975 to 2025, from First Growth Bordeaux and Grand Cru Burgundy to mature Champagne and lesser-known regional discoveries.

The wine-led philosophy extends to the spirits list, which focuses exclusively on grape-based spirits, alongside a selection of “gastronomic wine cocktails” featuring Cognac, Grappa and Pisco.

Leading the new direction is head sommelier Romain Audrerie, who brings more than 15 years of international experience to the new venue.

The food menu has been created to sit naturally alongside the wine list, with a focus on produce-led dishes designed for sharing.
