Maura Lawrence Milia has joined Eagle Bar at The Chancery Rosewood as general manager, joining director of bars Liana Oster.
The former Connaught Bar bar manager left the UK for Mexico in 2024, co-founding three hospitality concepts - Outline, Café Arixi, and Copal - across Mexico City and Oaxaca.
Milia brings more than a decade of experience to her role at the new Rosewood, winning World’s Best Bar at Connaught Bar twice and landing both Front of House Star and Bar Manager of the Year at the CLASS Bar Awards. She has also featured twice in Drinks International’s list of the most influential industry figures: Bar World 100.
Eagle Bar is located atop The Chancery Rosewood, set within the former US Embassy on Grosvenor Square, a 1960s Modernist landmark designed by Eero Saarinen.
The bar takes its name from the gilded eagle sculpture that crowns the building and offers panoramic views across London.
