
The largest rum gathering in the north is only a few weeks away as Manchester Rum Festival returns for its 9th year!
Once again held within New Century Hall, this years brings together newcomers from around the rum world, including Patridom from the Dominican Republic, Banditti Club from Scotland, Uganda’s Kakira and Casa Baru of Panama. We're also proud to welcome back Mount Gay of Barbados and El Dorado of Guyana for the first time since 2017!
There’s a whole host of newcomers to seek out and experience, alongside some familiar rum favourites from across the globe.
We've also invited along West Grove rum punch for their Manchester debut as we look to diversity the rum offerings available to you all, alongside the super premium Precious Drops and Single Origin Series - both showcasing some unique bottlings not found too often on your rum travels!
The Rum Ramble returns, with four seminars across the day highlighting different rum topics. 'Innovation in the World’s Oldest Running Rum Distillery', will be hosted by Lexi Davies, UK Brand Ambassador for Mount Gay, whilst Dr. Kit Carruthers, owner and distiller at Ninefold Rum Distillery, will highlight the growth of the Scottish rum category. You can 'Challenge Your Rum Senses' with Peter Holland of The Floating Rum Shack, and finish your day with some rare Jamaican rums courtesy of Jono Mayes of Campari UK.
Elijo’s of Manchester also make their debut as our food vendor of choice, bringing with them a fresh menu of Afro Caribbean cuisine. We welcome Carib lager of Trinidad & Tobago, whilst also welcoming back MONIN and their showcase of some of Manchester’s best cocktail bars including Junior Jackson's, Tariff & Dale, Arcane and newcomer The Morris.
For the first time too, Manchester Rum Week brings together the creations of bars across Greater Manchester to highlight how they approach the world of rum. Running from 21st to 27th July, bars including Blinker, The Alchemist, Cloud 23, Revolucion de Cuba, Reserve Wines and Exhibition amongst others are all showing off a selection of their rum delights across the week as we look to grow the rum community! Cloud 23 are also hosting a Bacardi party to officially get the Manchester Rum Festival vibes started on the Friday evening, and everyone is invited! With no wristbands required, Manchester Rum Week is inclusive to all venues and customers.
