Avallen Spirits — the planet-positive calvados brand founded to protect pollinators and bring back Calvados— is proud to mark its 6th anniversary and celebrate World Bee Day 2025 with a buzzing campaign of bar activations, donations, and education across the globe.
This year’s World Bee Day theme, “Bee inspired by nature to nourish us all,” underscores the vital role of pollinators in sustaining our food systems and ecosystems — something Avallen has long championed through its unique production and purpose-led business model.
From Manchester to Singapore, bars are joining the cause with bespoke cocktails, masterclasses, and special menus all centred around the tiny creatures that make life — and calvados — possible.
🌎 HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS YEAR’S ACTIVATION INCLUDE:
🐝 Climat, Manchester – Hosting a World Bee Day Masterclass led by Mangrove’s Victoria Charlton, exploring the link between biodiversity and spirits, with a tasting of bee-friendly serves.
🍯 Capo’s, Aarhus – Educating the next wave of bartenders with a “How to Use Honey” masterclass in partnership with Spirits &Co followed by a buzzing Appletini takeover, highlighting Avallen’s signature serve.
🧀 Night Hawk, Singapore – Turning heads (and palates) with a showstopping blue cheese foam and honeycocktail, a daring twist that celebrates nature’s boldest flavour pairings with Avallen’s bright, apple-forward profile.
🌸 Zoku Hotel, Amsterdam (B Corp) – Partnering for a “Business of Bees” educational panel with Avallen’s co-founder Stephanie Jordan-Balmforth, along with an exclusive bee-themed cocktail menu served at the rooftop bar all weekend.
💛 Through our commitment to 1% for the Planet, Avallen donates to global bee-saving organisations like The Pollinators (Netherlands) and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust (UK). In 2024, we proudly donated almost €5,000 — and this year, we’re back again, pledging €1 for every Avallen cocktail sold during the campaign period in participating venues.
“As we toast to six years of Avallen, it’s humbling to see our mission resonate from Sydney to Paris. This isn’t just a brand moment — it’s a movement,” says Stephanie Jordan Balmforth. “Every sip of an Avallen cocktail supports pollinators. Every bar taking part is part of the solution.”
Avallen is available in over 15 countries and distributed by partners who share a commitment to sustainability, including Mangrove UK, Explorateur du Gout in France and Drinks99 in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Bars and venues are invited to share cocktail details and photos to be featured across Avallen’s social channels as part of the #WorldBeeDay2025 campaign.
